Welcome to Mrs. Vernon's Page

Hello, my name is LaNell Vernon. I teach 7th science, 8th science, physical science, horticulture, and mentoring. I am a 2008 graduate of Cheyenne Public School. I hold a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership and I am certified to teach mid-level science. I began my teaching career in 2019. My experience in the classroom as well as various professional development courses has given me a diverse range of tools to use in my classroom. As an educator I am committed to providing a fun and engaging learning environment. I love to incorporate the outdoors and hands-on activities into my lessons as often as possible. My goal as a teacher is to help students gain the critical thinking skills they need to be successful in whatever they decide to do. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy traveling, gardening, reading, and most outdoor activities.
