Welcome to Mrs. Kitchen's Page

Marci Kitchens is a 1998 graduate of Cheyenne High School and a 2002 graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Her teaching career includes one year at Konawa Public Schools, five years at Bethany Public Schools, and fifteen years at Cheyenne Public Schools. Through these years Mrs. Kitchens has enjoyed teaching a variety of classes including HS General Music, Humanities, Jazz Band, Elementary PE, Senior Scholarship, and Piano Class. She also has two additional organizations that she leads in the Color Guard and the Junior High Academic Team. Her great loves though are her Elementary Music classes, Beginner Band , and High School Band classes. Mrs. Kitchens is immensely proud to carry on the tradition of the Cheyenne High School Bear Band as its director. 

 Professionally, Mrs. Kitchens enjoys participating in local band director associations such as the Southwestern Oklahoma Band Directors Association and the Shortgrass Honor Band Directors group from which she was previously awarded the “Jim Clark Director of the Year” award. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association and enjoys the professional relationships she maintains through this association. Mrs. Kitchens always loves receiving opportunities to participate in extra-curricular teaching experiences. She has conducted bands and ensembles at SWOSU Band camp, ensembles at SWOSU Flute Day, and was recently the director of the All-Area Honor Band in northwest Oklahoma. 

 Mrs. Kitchens and husband of almost 20 years, Jay, have two boys, Carter and Hayden.
